John has built his expertise in the areas of insurance since beginning his career in 2003. He started working with individuals and quickly built a practice around small and mid-sized employee benefit plans before acquiring Insurance Consultants of Central Florida (ICCF) in 2010. Under John’s direction, ICCF provides independent insurance and financial services to individuals and business in Central Florida ranging from individual health and group benefits to professional liability and property insurance. The agency is recognized as a leading agency in Central Florida.
John holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. A Central Florida native, he is a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, The National Association of Health Underwriters and the Florida Association of Independent Agents. He is an expert on matters surrounding health care reform, and serves on advisory boards with several leading insurance companies. In 2013, John was recognized by the Orlando Business Journal as an up and comer amongst Central Florida’s “Most Influential Businessmen”.
Outside of his business, John remains committed to giving back to his community. He has served in multiple leadership roles for Citrus Civitan of Orlando, a local service club chartered by Civitan International. He is also the Chair of the Florida Hospital Foundation Board for Diabetes and Translational Research, a world-renowned clinical and medical research facility focused on improving the lives of those with Diabetes and Metabolic Disease. John is married to Wendy and together they have three children: William, Henry and Claire.
Doug began his career in financial services in 2000 as a Financial Advisor with one of the nation’s largest banks. From there, he moved on to work as an analyst and portfolio manager for a $3 billion dollar real estate investment trust (REIT). In 2008, he returned to the advisory industry as a Financial Planning Associate at Smith Barney, where he co-managed over $285 million in assets.
After the takeover of Smith Barney by Morgan Stanley in 2012, Doug decided to open his own advisory business. He strategically partnered with Charles Schwab as his custodian in order to offer the services and investments that best suited his clients.
Doug works diligently to find the best asset managers and investment models available in today’s oversaturated investment market. He and the rest of ICCF Wealth Management are committed in their pursuit of the best investment management practices and client service.
Doug grew up in Winter Park, Florida. He earned his B.S. degree in Business at Miami University (Ohio), and his M.B.A. degree in Finance with honors at Stetson University. Doug’s post-graduate achievements include successful completion of The Wharton School of Business Private Wealth Management Program. He has three children: Maeve, Lily and Frances.
